You know cottage cheese just before bed is good for your sleeping muscles because of the casein, but, lets face it, those bland curds are just not everyone’s idea of yummy.
Good news: John Berardi’s team of kitchen whizzes have found a way to make even cottage cheese taste great.
They’ve also added a healthy dose of essential fatty acids from nuts and flax, together with fiber to ensure maximum absorption while you sleep.
1/2 cup lowfat cottage cheese
2 tsp flax meal or LSA meal
1 tsp peanut butter or other nut butter
1 scoop calcium caseinate protein powder or whey protein powder or 1/2 each
1 tsp cocoa
Splenda, to taste.
Mix all ingredients together in a bowl, and stir until smooth.
