I have been training consistently for a few years now and have a problem building up my triceps. I have worked with a few personal trainers on this problem but it seems that for some reason my body uses my chest for everything making it very hard to successfully isolate my triceps.
Has anyone ever come across a problem like this before? If so is there anything i can do to remedy this problem?October 11, 2005 at 4:15 am #1761Give Larry Scotts Kneeling Tricep Extensions a go. You will need to make up some gear or buy it from Larry at;

Isolation is not a problem with this exercise. DA@Joey wrote:

Which exercises have you tried in the past?
Next time in the gym try close grip bench with a supinated grip using the EZ bar. This should keep your elbows in and make it hard to use the pecs.
And what about skull crushers? Hard to see how the chest would come into play at all.

October 14, 2005 at 3:24 am #1766Ah, I just remembered another one. This is from the book “Anabolic Muscle mass”. Atomic Pushups, you do them on the floor like a standard pushup but with the hands palm down positioned together on the floor in front of the face. It relocates all tension to the triceps incredibly, and the lower you go the more tris suffer. DA
