I’ve been busy lately…moving house…heaps of work on.

I’m down to 98 kg and 21% BF. I’ve lost a little muscle but I’ll get it back πŸ˜‰

Haven’t been doing any weight training for a few weeks, but once I get the garage sorted I’ll get back to my usual routine.

    97kg and 20%.

The heaviest I’ve ever been was 115 (over 30%bf).
I’ve dumped 18kg of pure lard and feel 10 years younger:lol:

    Just another update.

My weigth loss has been a bit slower than I planned. I’ve hit another plateau at 95 – 96 kgs and 19 – 20% bf. (got stuck at 103 last time)
Hopefully, I’ll be back on track next week.

On the other hand though I haven’t lost any muscle according to the figures…still at 77kg muscle mass so I must be doing something right πŸ˜€ .

I’ve set my new goal for 85kg / 10% bf for late October 2006.

If you’ve been doing a volume type workout up until now try something entirely different for a few weeks.

HIT or Dogg Crapp. I got some good strenght gains for a couple of body parts this way. Nothing to show in terms of increase lean BM but now I’m back to volume training looks like I’m making some gains again.

Then go back to what worked for you at the begining.

Maybe I’ve just hit another wall ? Does it get harder to lose as you go down ?

I started at over 30% and averaged about 1 pound per week fat loss overall so maybe I’m just expecting too much too soon, but it’s taken me 16 weeks to lose 4kgs !

Adjust your energy intake or expenditure. months of lower calorie eating will decrease your metabolism and therefore you will need to eat less and less to lose weight (which keeps making it worse). I having been toying with the idea of cyclically changing from maintance droping 250 calories a week for 2-3 weeks then a more extreme calorie intake for 1-2 weeks then building back up 250 calories per week to maintance and reasssesing what i need from there.

So that would be say for a 3500 cal maintance person. This is slightly drastic for fast fat loss yet it works.

    3250 week one
    3000 week two
    2750 week three
    2000 week 4 mayber 5
    2750 week 6
    3000 week 7
    3250 week 8
    End Diet

Testing it out at moment and seeing how it progresses but its just an attempt to minimise your bodies metabolism slowing down too much in an extreme weight loss scenario.

This is a recurring theme with Berardi especially regarding female fatloss.

Seems he gets them to eat more (but real clean) over a short period to boost metabolism. Then looks at calorie cuts again.

Let us know how your test goes Dave.

post up what your average days eating looks like, typical foods, amounts etc total calorie intake etc etc. You have gone from being quite big to just high of a healthy weight range so its sure to be a lot harder for you now. Anything else you can think of that will help explain why you arent losing much post it up too.

I chop and change a bit but for example…

    6:00am
    2 slices 9 Grain Bread, 1 Egg, lean bacon or turkey bacon, coffee (skim milk no sugar),1 x multi-vitamin,2 x “amino-plex” tabs, 2 x fish oil / omega3 tabs.

    9:00am
2 slices 9 Grain Bread, salad filling with either chicken, fish, or tuna, coffee.

    12:00
Usually same as above if I’m at work + 2 x amino-plex and 2 x fish oil tabs

    3:00pm
4 crispbread with either peanut butter or vegemite and coffee. (aprox 1000kj)

    6:00pm
Lean steak or fish and steamed greens dressed with olive oil, and cracked pepper.

    Late
Snack – either some beernuts, cottage cheese, or tuna. + 2 x amino-plex and 2 x fish oil tabs

Totals about 2000 calories give or take.

    Calories 1872 (7836kJ)
