lower your calories and do upper body work, even single leg work if you feel up to it and have the facilities (leg press etc so there is no chance of losing balance doing a one legged exercise and hurting your other leg more)

upperbody will still be hard becoz 1) i cant bend my leg well (at the knee) 2) i cant walk properly 3) most upperbody workouts are done standing, and i cant stand well hurts too much πŸ˜₯

i thought id just halve meals, wat u reacon? just for a week, u think it will set me back?

*edit* turns out i sprained the left of my knee and right side of my ankle on the left leg πŸ™

Unbuff, really sorry to hear about the leg mate. I hope it recovers real quick.

I’m currently in a similar position as I am on week 3 of my training prog, and had a serious dose of migrane over the weekend and the after-effects tend to last for about a week or sometimes more 😑 πŸ™„

So according to Dave, we simply cut on the calories then?

    No more WPI etc…?

i havent calculated cals or anything, but i just dropped my carbs significantly, and dropped the protien and fats by about 10 – 20gms per meal. plus im just sitting around all day, so its not going to worry my body, or thats wat im thinking anyway. so far so good anyway, leg is healing excellently on homeopathy treatment. πŸ˜€

    Eat maintanence calories.

Single leg exercises if you can manage it.

Otherwise, don’t sweat on it. Detraining won’t set in for at least a couple of weeks (longer for those whose been training longer).

If it is a short break then just eat on like normal. You won’t get fat in a week. You will probably find however, that your appetite will drop with the reduction in exercise. I would still eat as much as I could force in.

bulls got a good point if it is short term, your body could recouperate a little and those excess calories will help in making some more muscle and repairs.

and about the upper body exercises make it ones where you are lying down πŸ˜€ not too hard to do.
