I’m in doubt about the carbs data shown on food labels. A % or grams of the carbs data specifies Sugars but the remaining figure which would sum up the total of carbohidrates is not specified, does it mean is complex carbs or….?
Most labels are required to show total carbohydrates, aswell as how many grams of total carbohydrates come from sugar. If the label showed 30g of carbs and 10g sugar then the 20g that aren’t sugar would be complex carbohydrates.
But this can be misleading, just because the remaining carbs are not sugar it doesnt mean they are necessarily any better for you.
