Protein bars #1

1 cup Natural peanut butter
8 tbsp Honey
1 & 1/4 cups Whey Protein Powder
1 cup Uncooked Oatmeal

Mix the peanut butter and honey in a bowl and microwave on full for 80 seconds. Add the rest of the ingredients and mix together with your hands. Smooth into 13×9 tray and leave for 20 mins. Cut into 10 or 12 equal bars and wrap and store in fridge. Protein 20g, carbs 30g and fat 20g. Add nuts and raisins if desired.

Protein bars #2

1 cup Brown Sugar
8 ounces Low-Fat Van.Yogurt
2 whites Egg Whites
2 tbsp Vegetable Oil
2 tbsp Fat Free Milk
2 tsp Vanilla
1-1/2 cup Soy Flour
1 tsp Baking Soda
1 tsp Cinnamon
1/2 tsp Salt
3 cups Quick Oats
1 cup (4-5 oz) Dried Fruit

The easiest way to make this is to dump everything in except the oats and fruit and run the mixer a couple of minutes, then stir in the oats and fruit, bake at 350F for about 30 minutes in a ungreased 9×16 pan.

Allow to cool and cut into 16 equal size bars. You should get about 220 calories per bar with, 24g sugars, 8g protien, 5g fat. I just did a quick pass on the calories and did not check my figures so they could be dead on or way off.

Notes: don’t cut the sugar down below 3/4 cup or it’ll really start to kill the flavour. If you dump the vegetable oil and lower the amount of sugar the texture of the batter changes and the bars become really dense (some people like it that way).
