Well I,m no power / olympic lifter thats for sure, but it provides a more secure grip on the bar and can help to stop you ripping off calouses.
Ive been using talc which seems to keep your hands dry, but gets a bit slipery.
To be honest Ive never used it, but if its good enough for some guy pulling 700lbs+ off the floor, who am I to argue?

Plus I train at home so dont have to worry about white dust everywhwre…..chalk that is :wink:
