The reason cycling creatine was recommended was that it was unclear whether oral supplementation down regulates creatine transports into the cell.

As far as I’m aware there no answer on this yet. A lot of people don’t cycle at all.

If you’ve been taking creatine regularly for a long while it might be interesting to follow the loading protocol (5 x 5g per d) for a few days to see if that makes any difference.
