if your gonna eat a meal pre-workout it needs to be very far away from the work out window, because the protein in meat takes a while to digest and to reach peak levels in your blood stream the good old amino acids.

if you eat too close to the work out period, all the blood in your body is going to be trying to digest the meal, which means less blood for your muscles.
